Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Mission Hills, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to labor and delivery patients with 1:2 patient ratios
• Care for neonates and adult patients in labor and delivery unit
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, and LA Fire Card certifications
• Maintain valid California state nursing license
• Circulate for cesarean sections in the operating room
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float between sister facilities within the state as required
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Provide minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• Complete 24 hours of orientation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Complete required compliance documentation and background checks
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Work night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) on 3x12-hour schedule
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
