Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an RN in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory • Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations including left and right heart catheterizations • Assist with coronary angiograms and angioplasty procedures • Monitor patients during procedural sedation administration • Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias • Administer IV vasopressors, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics • Operate and monitor intra-aortic balloon pump placement and removal • Assist with electrophysiological studies and arrhythmia ablations • Provide care for patients with ST-elevated MIs, non-ST elevated MIs, and chest pain • Monitor pulmonary artery lines and Swan Ganz catheters • Manage ventilator settings and patient ventilation • Operate specialized equipment including Acist injector, intravascular ultrasound, and Impella devices • Assist with thrombectomy procedures using Penumbra device • Administer medications including nitroglycerin, epinephrine, norepinephrine, and TPA • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications • Participate in on-call rotation with 30-minute response time • Work 4 weekend shifts per contract • Complete pre-start and annual training modules • Provide supervisory references covering 1 year of experience • Float between facilities within the state as required • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays as assigned • Maintain valid California RN license • Obtain LA fire card within 30 days of assignment
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
