Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures for various patient populations including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Conduct all body cases, neuro cases, cardiac MRI (CMR), breast biopsy, functional MRI and intraoperative imaging
• Perform pediatric imaging procedures as required
• Operate MRI equipment including GE and Siemens systems
• Prepare and administer contrast media when necessary
• Start peripheral IVs as needed
• Perform various imaging sequences including T-1 and T-2 weighted images, spin echo images, and gradient echo imaging
• Conduct specialized procedures including CINE studies, diffusion imaging, perfusion studies, and spectroscopy
• Perform image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction
• Utilize multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and maximum intensity projection (MIP) techniques
• Work with surface coils and perform peripheral magnetic resonance angiography
• Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system
• Work with PACS system for image management
• Provide imaging services for emergency room and trauma patients
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work night shifts from 6:30pm to 7:00am on assigned days
• Work weekends as required per schedule
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience
• Complete 40 hours of orientation
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Maintain valid vehicle for transportation between facilities
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
