Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scans in the emergency department using Siemens S3000 and Sequoia scanners • Conduct routine ED patient scans, Code Stroke procedures, and Level II trauma imaging • Execute CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction • Handle daily caseload of 150-200 scans across 4 rooms • Work 12-hour night shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (19:45 - 08:15) • Provide imaging services for patients of all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Utilize Epic charting system and Visage imaging software for documentation • Prepare and administer contrast media as required • Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture when needed • Maintain ARRT(R)(CT) and BLS certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours for acute care roles) • Follow radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and skill requirements • Complete 48 hours of orientation training • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Maintain flexibility for schedule changes during orientation week • Provide minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience with 500+ bed facility background
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
