Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear cardiology studies including stress testing and Amyloid (PYP) studies
• Conduct rest/stress myocardial perfusion imaging procedures
• Perform exercise/rest-multiple and exercise/rest-single imaging studies
• Administer pharmacological stress testing protocols
• Start and maintain peripheral IV access for patients
• Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials safely
• Operate hot lab equipment, dose calibrator, and well counter
• Utilize Spectrum Dynamics DSPECT cameras for imaging procedures
• Document patient care and procedures using Epic charting system
• Provide patient care services to adult and geriatric populations
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 with average daily census of 8-10 patients
• Work 10-hour shifts from 06:00 to 16:30
• Complete 40 hours of in-clinic orientation
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (4-5 hours for non-acute roles)
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT N or CNMT certification
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements (royal blue scrubs preferred)
• Complete lab testing within 48 hours of signing assignment
• Comply with fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Provide two supervisory references from within the past 12 months
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
