Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory for adult and geriatric patients • Perform diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations • Assist with interventional cardiac catheterization procedures • Circulate procedures and scrub for cardiac procedures as needed • Administer and monitor procedural sedation using Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and arrhythmias • Monitor pulmonary artery lines and Swan Ganz catheters • Assist with cardiac stent placement and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) • Support cardiac ablation and electrophysiology procedures • Assist with pacemaker and AICD insertion and programming • Perform sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring • Utilize vascular closure systems and topical hemostasis devices • Assist with IABP placement and removal procedures • Support transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures • Maintain activated clotting time (ACT) monitoring • Administer cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics and antihypertensives • Start IVs and manage IV vasopressors as needed • Ensure radiation and laser safety protocols are followed • Complete Epic electronic health record documentation • Respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes when required • Work approximately 5-6 on-call shifts every two weeks • Provide coverage for every other weekend on-call shifts • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Maintain current ACLS certification and LA City Fire Card • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays • Adhere to infection prevention and isolation precautions • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
