Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, carotid stenting, and catheter/drain exchanges • Conduct central venous access procedures including non-tunneled/PICC lines, tunneled ports, and port placements • Assist with chest tube placement, dialysis graft creation/revision, and embolization procedures • Perform liver biopsies, nephrostomy procedures, and gastrostomy tube placements • Conduct thoracentesis, ureteral stent placement, and upper/lower extremity angiography • Operate specialized equipment for peripherals and kyphoplasty procedures • Provide hemodynamic monitoring and PACS system operation • Handle daily caseload of typically up to 6 patients • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations • Maintain current ARRT certification, BLS certification, and state licensure • Maintain current fluoro permit and LA fire card • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide on-call coverage 1-2 days per week with rotating weekend call • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float between sister facilities within the state as required • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Complete 16 hours of orientation training • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years • Maintain compliance with background check and licensing requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
