Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Endoscopy to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, polypectomy, biopsy, peg placement, banding, balloon dilation, Bravo, and X-track procedures
• Recover patients from conscious sedation and monitor sedation throughout procedures
• Circulate during endoscopic procedures and assist with bronchoscopy
• Administer conscious sedation and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
• Handle and label specimens appropriately
• Care for patients with ASA classifications 1, 2, and 3 across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Maintain valid California RN licensure
• Utilize charting system for patient documentation
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Float between facilities within the state as required
• Complete 40 hours of facility orientation
• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including interpretation services and transportation
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
