Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - TCU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Nights at a leading SNF in Torrance, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide skilled nursing care in a sub-acute rehabilitation setting with 8:1 patient ratios
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various system diagnoses following specific admission criteria
• Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula or face mask
• Provide peripheral line care and maintenance
• Follow proper isolation procedures and use appropriate PPE
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float between units and affiliate hospitals as needed to meet facility requirements
• Work every other weekend and commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Provide minimum 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within last 3 years
• Maintain valid California nursing license
• Comply with facility policies and background check requirements
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
