Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Torrance, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Labor & Delivery nursing care for low and high risk labor patients
• Care for antepartum patients with multiples, hypertensive disorders, diabetic conditions, and multiple system issues
• Manage labor patients with multiple system disorders including HTN and DM
• Circulate and recover cesarean sections
• Perform postpartum D&C procedures
• Float to Mother/Baby unit as required
• Provide newborn care services
• Conduct non-stress tests
• Set up delivery tables
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Maintain required certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, FHM, and NRP
• Complete 24 hours of orientation training
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually (average 16 hours)
• Work flexible schedule including weekends as required
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide minimum 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Maintain valid California RN license
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Comply with background check and compliance requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
