Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Sioux City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in medical surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry equipment
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments and documentation
• Maintain current nursing licensure and certifications
• Complete mandatory training programs and competency testing
• Comply with Joint Commission standards and regulations
• Participate in patient safety initiatives and quality improvement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Complete required health screenings and vaccinations
• Maintain patient confidentiality and system security protocols
• Work 12-hour shifts including every other weekend
• Respond to patient emergencies and code situations
• Provide patient and family education
• Complete criminal background check and drug screening requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
