Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - CVOR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Utilize open heart surgery experience in patient care delivery
• Work scheduled shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Participate in on-call duties 2 nights per week and 2 weekends per month
• Complete required health screenings including fit testing and TB questionnaire
• Undergo and pass 9-panel drug screening
• Complete comprehensive onboarding documentation and compliance forms
• Participate in Joint Commission testing and training requirements
• Maintain current immunization records including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and other required vaccines
• Complete tuberculosis screening through 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Undergo criminal background check and various compliance screenings
• Complete education verification and professional reference checks
• Demonstrate competency through skills checklist completion
• Adhere to facility policies regarding patient confidentiality and system security
• Complete orientation program and ongoing training requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IN
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
