Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - MLT to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Evenings at a leading Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. Key Responsibilities:
• Work evening shift hours from 1415-2245 with every other weekend requirement
• Work any holidays that fall during contract period
• Maintain current ASCP certification
• Complete required COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella vaccinations
• Undergo physical/health statement and drug screening requirements
• Complete comprehensive background checks and security clearances
• Maintain valid state licensure and certification verification
• Complete required orientation and training programs
• Undergo tuberculosis screening (2 Step PPD or IGRA testing)
• Complete annual TB questionnaire and health assessments
• Undergo fit testing and color vision screening
• Complete Joint Commission testing requirements
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies and procedures
• Complete required documentation including I9 verification
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and system security requirements
• Complete conflict of interest and code of conduct documentation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IN
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
