Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - MLT to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis as a Medical Laboratory Technician specializing in blood bank operations
• Work evening shift hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, every other week
• Utilize blood bank experience and knowledge to conduct specialized testing procedures
• Complete required Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Maintain current professional license and certificate verification
• Complete mandatory health screenings including fit testing, drug screening, and physical examination
• Maintain up-to-date vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Pass color vision testing requirements for laboratory work
• Complete criminal background check and education verification processes
• Adhere to Trinity Code of Conduct and patient confidentiality agreements
• Complete Joint Commission testing and compliance requirements
• Maintain system access privileges and follow information security protocols
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure and integrity audit documentation
• Participate in ongoing competency assessments and professional development
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OH
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
