Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ED ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency department nursing care for 13-week assignment
• Work 36 hours per week on night shift schedule (1900-0730)
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Complete required onboarding documentation and forms
• Undergo drug screening and background check verification
• Maintain current immunization records including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing for emergency department
• Maintain valid RN license with verification requirements
• Complete Joint Commission testing and compliance requirements
• Adhere to organizational code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete education and employment verification processes
• Maintain physical health requirements and complete health assessments
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NY
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
