Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform sterile processing technician duties in operating room and central sterile environments
• Maintain current Sterile Processing Tech credentials
• Work scheduled shifts including weekends as needed
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation
• Complete fit testing requirements for respiratory protection
• Submit to 9 panel drug screening
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete annual physical and health assessments
• Adhere to code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete criminal background checks and employment verifications
• Pass specialty-specific competency testing
• Complete skills checklist assessments
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards
• Complete conflict of interest disclosures
• Participate in continuing education and training programs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NY
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
