Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializing in General Surgery Post Op
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts per week (36 hours total)
• Float to support staffing within Med/Surg units as needed
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation
• Provide direct patient care for general surgery post-operative patients
• Complete required Trinity compliance documentation and certifications
• Undergo specialty-specific competency testing
• Complete required health screenings including drug screening, TB testing, and immunizations
• Maintain valid RN licensure and provide license verification
• Complete Joint Commission testing and skills checklist requirements
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and code of conduct
• Complete required background checks and verification processes
• Demonstrate travel nursing experience in comparable specialty setting
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NY
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
