Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technology services with proficiency in both orthopedic and neurological procedures
• Maintain current professional licensure and certification
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing
• Fulfill on-call requirements for orthopedic and neurological surgeries
• Complete required compliance documentation and forms
• Maintain current immunization requirements including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening through 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Pass required health screenings including physical examination and color vision testing
• Complete drug screening and background check requirements
• Maintain patient confidentiality and system security agreements
• Complete education verification and professional reference checks
• Adhere to code of conduct and conflict of interest policies
• Complete fit testing for respiratory protection equipment
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in ID
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
