Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Boise, ID. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technician services in operating room settings
• Maintain current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification
• Work Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM schedule
• Complete required competency testing and skills checklist assessments
• Maintain current license and certificate verification
• Complete mandatory health screenings including drug screening and physical examination
• Obtain and maintain required vaccinations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Pass color vision testing requirements
• Complete background check and criminal history verification
• Maintain compliance with educational verification requirements
• Complete Joint Commission testing and training modules
• Adhere to code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure documentation
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Demonstrate competency in specialty-specific surgical procedures and techniques
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in ID
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
