Experience
- Minimum 1 year Long Term Care (LTC) experience required
- Previous travel experience required
License & Certification Required
- Active CNA license in another state
- Pending Alaska CNA license application must have been submitted
- BLS
- Alaska Food Worker Certification (can be obtained during orientation)
Skills Required
- Documentation of license application must include submission proof, fees paid, educational verification, and license verification
- Assisting with ambulation
- Assisting with feeding patients
- Turning and repositioning patients
- Bed shampoo and changing linens
- Completing bed baths
- Donning and removing PPE
- Care for patients’ feet and performing glucometer checks
- Monitoring vital signs and providing mouth care
- Pressure injury prevention
- Conducting safe patient transfers
- Providing personal hygiene assistance
Desired Skills
- Experience with Gillette Vital Sign Machines
- Experience with Skylifts and Hoyers
- Experience with patient care in geriatrics, including Alzheimer's and dementia
- Experience with psychological behaviors in patients
