Position Summary:

VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care as a CNA in long-term care setting • Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, ambulation, and repositioning • Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations • Perform glucose point of care testing using glucometer • Provide incontinence and elimination care • Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility • Perform complete bed baths and perineal care • Provide skin care and decubitus prevention measures • Assist with oral care and foot care • Change occupied and unoccupied bed linens • Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, sky lifts, and oxygen tanks • Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols • Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff • Document patient care activities using ECS charting system • Complete required training modules pre-start and annually • Maintain current BLS certification • Float within facility and to affiliate hospitals as needed • Work variable 4x12 or 3x12 hour shifts (days or nights) • Work with patient populations including geriatrics, Alzheimer's, dementia, TBI, and patients with psychological behaviors • Maintain patient ratios of up to 1:20 during day shifts and 1:10 during night shifts • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 6 months of LTC employment • Maintain valid CNA licensure and complete Alaska licensing requirements if pending • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules

Job Requirements:

Active, unencumbered license in AK
Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)

Other Required Documentation:

Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
Two current clinical references
State-required professional license
Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
Must pass background check and drug screening
