Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department Technician experience required (6-12 months of ER experience if currently an EMT)
- Recent work history within the last 3-6 months required
License & Certification Required
Skills Required
- EPIC experience
- Experience with ADLs
- Phlebotomy
- Ability to report abnormal findings
- Assisting with setup of bedside procedures
- Postmortem care
- Use of restraints
- Labeling specimens and transport
- Performing EKGs
- Behavioral health de-escalation
- Isolation precautions/PPE
- Reporting changes in patient condition
- Experience with adult and pediatric vital sign parameters
- Experience with neonate, infant, child, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult patient populations
Desired Skills
- Charge experience preferred
- Nice-to-have experience in managing behavioral emergencies
- Experience with glucometer
- Assisting with ambulation
- Assisting with feeding patients
- Assisting with procedures
Requirements
- Current Resume
- State Licensure
- Current BLS and any Specialty Certifications
- Negative TB Test (Within 12 Months)
- Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella
- Current - Tdap/Flu Vaccinations
- Must be able to pass pre-employment, background and drug screening
