Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments to adult and geriatric patients with cancer diagnoses • Operate linear accelerators and radiation therapy equipment including Elekta Infinity and Elekta Versa HD • Maintain current BLS and ARRT certifications • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging and IMRT procedures • Conduct SBRT, Exac trac dynamic, and DIBH treatments • Provide stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and external beam therapy • Perform CT simulation and tumor localization procedures • Create and maintain custom molds and shields • Implement respiratory gating techniques • Treat prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials • Handle emergency cases and utilize crash cart/defibrillator when needed • Provide patient and family teaching • Maintain radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions/PPE • Perform chart checks and billing for treatment types and devices • Use lift/transfer devices and patient restraints as needed • Complete field shaping and treatment planning tasks • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Complete required modules and training programs during orientation and annually • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience • Participate in rapid response and code teams • Work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy • Maintain valid state licensure • Complete 40 hours of orientation • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
