Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures in the emergency department on Siemens Force scanner • Conduct routine ED scans, Code Stroke procedures, and Level II trauma imaging • Perform CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction • Operate GE and Siemens scanning equipment • Handle daily caseload of 8-12 patients per 8-hour shift in fast-paced environment • Work with patient populations including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Utilize Epic charting system and Visage imaging software for documentation • Prepare and administer contrast media as required • Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture procedures • Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT(R)(CT) certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours non-billable) • Work assigned weekend schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday • Maintain radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions • Float between units within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed • Complete 48 hours of orientation training • Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
