Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scans for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Operate Siemens CT equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures • Conduct abdomen, pelvis, and chest scans with and without contrast media • Perform head and neck imaging including carotid, head, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head scans • Execute spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and musculoskeletal trauma studies • Prepare and administer contrast media safely and appropriately • Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture as required • Maintain radiation safety protocols and practices • Follow isolation precautions for patient and staff safety • Utilize PACS system for image management and storage • Document patient procedures and findings in Epic charting system • Perform special procedures including aspirations, biopsies, CT arthrography, drainage, and myelography • Conduct 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) when required • Perform region of interest (ROI) measurements and analysis • Handle busy outpatient and emergency department scheduling demands • Maintain current BLS and ARRT CT certifications • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Provide weekend coverage when needed with 2-week advance notice • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Complete 16 hours of unit orientation training • Provide minimum 2 years of experience in adult acute care, ICU, and emergency department settings • Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact state license) • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
