Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technician services for outpatient and inpatient procedures including orthopedic, neurological, vascular, trauma, general, GU and GYN cases • Maintain current BLS certification and CST certification • Work variable shift start times including 7am, 9am, 11am, and 3pm as assigned • Cover night shifts within contract as needed • Perform on-call duties one weeknight per week and every 2nd or 3rd weekend with 20-minute response time • Work 3 weekends per schedule and 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Operate and maintain surgical equipment including microscopes, laparoscopic towers, arthroscope equipment, daVinci Xi robotic system, and Stealth Navigation Station • Perform case cart and crash cart duties • Maintain aseptic technique and follow universal protocol procedures • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Maintain valid state licensure and required certifications • Comply with facility dress code and safety requirements including fire safety, laser safety, and radiation safety • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Complete 40 hours of facility orientation • Provide care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
