Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures including abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, and vascular studies with and without contrast
• Operate CT equipment for 3D rendering including Maximum Intensity Projection, Surface Shaded Displays, and Volume Rendering
• Conduct specialized CT procedures such as brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, and virtual colonography
• Provide imaging services for adult acute care, emergency department, and ICU patients
• Perform CT procedures for trauma patients in Level III trauma minimum hospital setting
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and appropriately
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture as needed
• Utilize PACS system for image management and storage
• Perform multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest measurements (ROI)
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and practices
• Document patient procedures using Epic charting system
• Provide backup on-call coverage one week during contract duration
• Work with patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Assist with biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures as needed
• Complete 80 hours of facility orientation
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (average 16 hours, self-reported)
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Maintain current ARRT CT certification, BLS certification, and state licensure
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
