Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including vascular studies, neuro procedures (including stroke intervention), and body work
• Execute various IR procedures such as stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, biopsies, and drainages
• Perform upper and lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access and neurological studies
• Maintain sterile field during scrub procedures with minimum 1 year scrub experience on neuro procedures
• Operate Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment effectively
• Handle daily caseload of 13-17 cases
• Work first shift with staggered start times between 0700-0830 for 8 hours/day Monday-Friday
• Participate in weekends and evenings/nights on call rotation as primary and backup
• Provide patient care services for adults, geriatrics, and some adolescents
• Utilize PACS system and contrast administration
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Complete hospital orientation during first week with full availability for daily classes
• Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually (8-10 hours)
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT certification
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Provide minimum 2 supervisory references covering past 12 months of employment
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Complete compliance testing within 48 hours of signing contract
• Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact license required)
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
