Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN/LVN - Outpatient to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Rehab in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform telephone triage for urology patients
• Provide outpatient clinic nursing care for adults and geriatric patients
• Insert and remove Foley catheters for both male and female patients
• Perform phlebotomy and blood collection procedures
• Administer medications via intramuscular, subcutaneous, and oral routes
• Provide oxygen therapy including face masks and nasal cannula
• Conduct vital sign monitoring and pain assessment management
• Assist with nurse visits and cystoscopies with Botox injections
• Obtain and instruct patients on clean catch urine collection
• Communicate patient status changes to RN and physicians
• Complete medication reconciliation and patient health questionnaires
• Handle follow-up phone calls and pharmacy refill requests
• Interpret laboratory results and label specimens appropriately
• Utilize de-escalation protocols when needed
• Care for TURP (Transurethral Resection of Prostate) patients
• Operate bladder scanner and assist with cystoscopy tower equipment
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Float to other clinic locations within the region as needed
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Provide own stethoscope for patient care
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
