Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Surgical Tech - Certified Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Rotating at a leading Hospital in Petoskey, MI. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with general elective surgeries and critical or life-saving procedures across various specialties
• Provide surgical technology support for Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, and OB procedures
• Work 3 12-hour day shifts (6:45a-7:15p) per week
• Complete one night of call per week (7p-7a)
• Participate in weekend call rotation one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night, 7p-7a)
• Work rotating holidays as assigned
• Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification
• Maintain NBSTSA or NCCT certification
• Adhere to strict attendance policy with no more than 3 absences or late arrivals (20+ minutes)
• Complete skills checklist within one year of application
• Maintain valid Michigan state licensure and provide license verification
• Comply with health system-wide profile standards
• Assist with surgical procedures utilizing current surgical techniques and tools
• Support full spectrum of surgical procedures and tests across multiple specialties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
