Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform surgical technician duties in outpatient and community hospital settings with focus on orthopedic, neurological, and vascular procedures • Provide surgical support for trauma cases as required • Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment • Work variable shift times including 7am, 9am, 11am, and 3pm starts with 12-hour shifts • Cover one night shift within contract as needed • Work 3 weekends per schedule as required • Participate in on-call duties one weeknight per week and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday from 0700-0700 with 20-minute response time • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work with required surgical equipment including microscope, laparoscopic camera and tower equipment, and arthroscope equipment • Operate preferred equipment including Stealth Navigation Station and daVinci Xi surgical system • Perform required procedures including case cart management, crash cart operations, and scrubbing • Execute preferred procedures including craniotomy and airway management • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Maintain valid state licensure and required certifications • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Adhere to facility policies and procedures including dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
