Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate OT - Therapy Rehab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Cottonwood, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide occupational therapy services in acute care setting
• Maintain current Arizona occupational therapy license
• Maintain current BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Complete required fingerprint clearance card for Arizona
• Work 5x8 hour shifts (8:00-17:00)
• Work weekend days as required (department operates 7 days per week)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day)
• Manage patients with moderate to maximum assistance needs
• Provide co-treatments with other therapy disciplines
• Work with ventilated patients
• Conduct patient evaluations and reassessments
• Manage caseload of 14-16 patients (average daily census)
• Pivot and adapt to pick up additional evaluations throughout the day
• Document patient care using Cerner charting system
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work with various medical diagnoses including CVA rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic conditions
• Perform patient assessments and develop plans of care
• Provide patient and family education
• Ensure safety and injury prevention protocols
• Complete discharge planning and documentation
• Float to other units or affiliate hospitals based on census and facility needs
• Complete required compliance documentation and testing within specified timeframes
• Complete orientation modules during first week (approximately 6-8 hours)
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Provide two professional references from recent employment
• Maintain professional competency in acute care occupational therapy skills
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
