Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Cottonwood, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients including neonates, adolescents, and adults • Work in all areas of Labor and Delivery including labor rooms, triage rooms, OR suites, postpartum rooms, and stabilization nursery • Perform circulation and triage duties • Care for antepartum patients Level 1 at 36 weeks gestation and beyond • Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:30pm-6:30am plus 1-2 call shifts per 8-week period • Work every other weekend as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day • Maintain current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP, STABLE, and Advanced Fetal Health Monitoring certifications • Utilize Cerner documentation system for patient charting • Use Pyxis medication system for medication administration • Operate special equipment including infant warmers, PANDAs, and Centrak infant security systems • Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals based on census and skill set • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and other departments • Follow SBAR communication protocols • Start and maintain IV lines • Adhere to AWHONN staffing guidelines • Complete required compliance documentation and testing within specified timeframes • Provide two professional references with one from most recent employer within 1 year • Complete required modules during orientation averaging 6 hours • Follow facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
