Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Cottonwood, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care for patients from 36 weeks gestation and beyond • Work in all areas of Labor and Delivery including 4 labor rooms, 2 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, 10 postpartum rooms, and 2 stabilization nursery beds • Perform triage and assessment of labor and delivery patients • Circulate in operating room suites during cesarean sections and other procedures • Provide care for neonates, adolescents, and adults • Maintain current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP, STABLE, and Advanced Fetal Health Monitoring certifications • Utilize Cerner documentation system for patient charting • Use SBAR communication protocols • Operate special equipment including infant warmers, PANDAs, and Centrak infant security systems • Utilize Pyxis medication dispensing system • Start and maintain IVs as required • Work 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 6:30pm to 6:30am • Complete 1-2 twelve-hour call shifts per 8-week period • Work every other weekend as scheduled • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and facility needs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation • Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines and facility protocols • Complete required compliance documentation and training modules • Adhere to medication administration standards including BCMA protocols • Maintain valid state nursing licensure • Provide two professional references covering required timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
