Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized written plans of care based on physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments • Utilize Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and Caring-Quality Model in patient care delivery • Adapt care plans according to patient and significant other's changing needs and goals • Seek life-long learning through certification, advanced practice, higher education, and literature review • Demonstrate leadership through sharing knowledge and serving as a clinical resource and professional role model • Demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary communication • Demonstrate enhanced time management skills and ability to assist others to contribute to overall team performance • Provide patient-centered nursing care focused on patient safety and quality care delivery • Deliver evidence-based and holistic patient care • Participate in Unit Based Council (Shared Governance) activities to promote healthy work environment • Use clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication in patient care • Work collaboratively with Interdisciplinary Care Team members • Provide care for diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients • Work every other weekend as scheduled • Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification • Maintain valid Michigan nursing license • Work night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week • Perform other duties consistent with job purpose as directed by competency-based objectives
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
