Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit setting • Maintain 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends • Care for cardiac, neuro, medical-surgical, and trauma patients • Manage ventilated patients and provide post-operative care • Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips • Perform arterial line management and central line care • Assist with chest tube insertion and removal • Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias • Provide care for post-cardiac surgery patients • Manage patients with traumatic brain injuries and post-craniotomy care • Operate specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT, Impella, and EVD • Administer blood products and manage continuous IV sedation • Perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring • Utilize Epic charting system for all documentation • Float to sister facilities approximately 16-20 miles away when required • Work every other weekend as scheduled • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of ICU experience • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams • Maintain valid California RN license • Comply with isolation precautions and infection prevention protocols • Complete 40 hours of facility orientation • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
