Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments to adult outpatients using Varian linacs (TrueBeam, Halcyon, and 21iX)
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging procedures for treatment verification
• Utilize ARIA charting system for patient documentation
• Conduct chart checks to ensure treatment accuracy
• Treat patients with various conditions including benign brain tumors, craniospinal treatments, prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials
• Perform IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) treatments
• Administer stereotactic radiosurgery and SBRT procedures
• Follow radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions
• Float between two clinical sites based on volume and coverage needs
• Work collaboratively with at least one other therapist (never work alone)
• Maintain current ARRT T and BLS certifications
• Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Maintain flexible start times (8am-5pm or 9am-6pm) based on volume changes
• Provide minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience
• Comply with royal blue scrub dress code requirements
• Complete lab testing within 48 hours after signing
• Adhere to fatigue policy (no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week)
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
