Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide certified nursing assistant services in long term care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (non-billable, approximately 16 hours)
• Work variable 4x12 or 3x12 hour shifts (days or nights based on facility needs)
• Maintain patient care ratios of 1:20 during day shifts and 1:10 during night shifts
• Utilize ECS charting system for documentation
• Float within facility and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work minimum of 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatric patients including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, TBI, and psychological behaviors
• Perform vital sign monitoring including blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature
• Assist with activities of daily living including feeding, ambulation, bathing, and toileting
• Provide incontinence care, skin care, and decubitus prevention
• Assist with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyers and Skylifts
• Maintain isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Report changes in patient condition to supervisory staff
• Complete required compliance documentation and maintain valid state CNA licensure
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 6 months of LTC employment experience
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules through Workramp system
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
