Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear medical technician duties with variable shift start times (7 AM, 9 AM, or 10 AM) • Provide rotational call coverage Monday-Friday 4pm-11pm and weekends/holidays 7am-11pm • Maintain required weekend availability • Perform lymphoscintigraphy studies including injection of tracer • Maintain current BLS and ARRT certifications • Perform nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, brain studies, cardiac imaging, renal studies, and liver imaging • Execute specialized procedures such as three-phase studies, perfusion scans, and whole body imaging • Start and maintain peripheral IV access • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work with patient ratios of 1:2 during days and 1:1 during nights and weekends • Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations • Complete pre-start and annual training modules • Float between facilities within the state as required • Commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within last 3 years • Maintain valid California state licensure • Complete compliance documentation including background checks • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Maintain current LA fire card certification
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
