Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Endoscopy to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive endoscopy nursing care for patients across all age groups (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics)
• Perform specialized endoscopic procedures including EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy
• Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care
• Monitor and recover patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation
• Circulate and scrub for endoscopic procedures as required
• Manage airways and provide respiratory support during procedures
• Handle and properly label specimens according to facility protocols
• Maintain current BLS certification and preferred ACLS, PALS, and SGNA certifications
• Utilize Epic charting system for accurate documentation
• Operate specialized equipment including ION, Ultrasound, FUJI Scopes, and ERBE systems
• Manage patient caseload with 1:1 patient ratios
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts (07:00-17:00) totaling 40 hours per week
• Participate in on-call coverage every 5th weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other support services
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Maintain valid state nursing licensure
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Complete required compliance documentation and maintain current certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
