Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading $facility_type$ in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an OR RN in a Level I trauma center operating room with 11 high-volume rooms
• Deliver nursing care for general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro surgical procedures including craniotomies
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during surgical procedures
• Work 3x12 hour shifts with variable DAYS/MIDS schedule from 0630-1900
• Accept on-call assignments up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts with 30-minute recall time
• Work weekends as needed, typically every 3rd weekend
• Maintain active unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Complete 40 hours of orientation and required training modules during first week
• Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation
• Float to other areas within hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill set
• Adhere to medication administration standards including BCMA protocols
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Provide minimum 2 years of OR experience with Level I trauma experience
• Demonstrate competency in multiple surgical specialties including high-volume ortho, trauma, and spine cases
• Complete required compliance documentation within specified timeframes
• Provide two professional references from recent employers
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
