Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in medical surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor patients with telemetry equipment and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments and documentation
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
• Complete required Trinity training modules and competency testing
• Maintain current RN license and required certifications
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing for med surg telemetry
• Undergo required health screenings including drug screening and fit testing
• Complete skills checklist verification
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and system security protocols
• Follow facility policies and procedures
• Complete required compliance documentation and training programs
• Demonstrate color vision competency for patient safety
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IL
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
