Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive OR nursing care in Level 1 trauma center with 11 operating rooms handling high volume orthopedic, trauma, and spine cases
• Demonstrate experience and competency in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact state license
• Work 3x12 day shifts (0630-1900) with 1:1 patient ratios
• Accept on-call responsibilities with up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts with 30-minute recall time
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation
• Float to other areas within hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed based on skill sets and census
• Complete 40 hours of orientation and required training modules during first week
• Provide two professional references from supervisory personnel covering recent employment experience
• Complete all compliance documentation and testing within required timeframes
• Demonstrate proficiency in multiple surgical specialties including trauma, orthopedic, spine, neurological, and general surgical procedures
• Perform scrubbing duties when needed (preferred qualification)
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and quality standards including medication administration protocols
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
