Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in a Level I trauma center
• Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Perform general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neurological procedures including craniotomies
• Work in high-volume OR with 11 rooms handling orthopedic, trauma, spine cases and all other specialties
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during surgical procedures
• Take call shifts with 30-minute recall time (up to 8 weekday shifts, up to 9 weekend shifts per 13-week period)
• Work weekends as needed, typically every 3rd weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
• Complete 40 hours of orientation and required training modules during first week
• Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation
• Float to other areas as helping hands based on job role and abilities
• Scrub for procedures when needed (preferred skill)
• Handle cases including gunshot/stab wounds, MVA with multiple injuries, and various surgical specialties
• Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
• Provide care to patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams
• Maintain professional references and complete compliance documentation as required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
