Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including OB triage, labor support, and postpartum couplet care • Circulate for cesarean sections in the operating room • Transition and assess newborns following delivery • Float house-wide as helping hands and to SCN or PEDS units with orientation • Maintain active Arizona RN license or valid compact license • Maintain current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications • Maintain Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification • Work 3x12 night shifts from 1900-0700 • Complete on-call requirements of 1-4 twelve-hour shifts per 8-week schedule • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required • Float within department based on census and facility needs • Utilize Cerner charting system for patient documentation • Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including BCMA • Complete required compliance testing within specified timeframes • Provide two professional references covering required timeframes • Complete required modules and orientation during first week • Care for neonates, infants, and adult patients • Manage patient ratios appropriate for labor and delivery unit • Perform sterile vaginal exams and maintain peripheral IVs • Conduct newborn assessments and provide high-risk antepartum care
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
