Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiologic technologist services in cardiac catheterization laboratory • Support STEMI and stroke receiving center operations across 4 laboratories • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations for adult patients • Assist with percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and angioplasty procedures • Support cardiac stent placement and thrombectomy procedures • Assist with TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip procedures • Perform interventional neuro and interventional radiology procedures • Conduct coil embolization, ablations, and peripheral vascular procedures • Maintain accurate hemodynamic monitoring and baseline measurements • Perform equipment setup and maintain sterile field as scrub technologist • Function as room circulator and stock supplies as needed • Prepare access sites and assist with venous access procedures • Perform EKG lead placement and rhythm interpretation • Float between specialties within the catheterization laboratory • Provide on-call coverage Monday through Friday and weekend call requirements • Work 2 weekends every 6-week schedule • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Maintain valid ARRT registration and California state licensure • Maintain current fluoroscopy permit • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Complete required compliance documentation and background checks • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
