Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, cardiac ablation, cardiac stent placement, and carotid angiography • Conduct specialized procedures such as ablations, peripherals, and kyphoplasty • Provide radiologic technologist services for adult and geriatric patients • Handle daily caseload of 8-10 procedures • Operate specialized equipment for embolization, ERCP, and vertebroplasty procedures • Perform central venous access procedures including PICC lines and port placement • Conduct diagnostic imaging including mesenteric angiograms and upper/lower extremity angiography • Maintain current ARRT registration, BLS certification, and fluoroscopy permit • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Take call 1-2 days per week and rotating weekends • Work in 3-room interventional radiology department • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Utilize PACS system for image management and documentation • Perform chest tube placement, thoracentesis, and paracentesis procedures • Conduct liver biopsies, gastrostomy tube placement, and ureteral stent placement • Assist with thrombolysis/thrombectomy and IVC filter placement procedures • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Complete 16-hour orientation program • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
