Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care with post-partum experience in LDRP setting
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 across all shifts
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Maintain required certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide care for neonates and adults in 10-bed unit with daily census of 12
• Perform labor and delivery procedures including triage of obstetrical patients
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and circulate for C-sections
• Manage high-risk antepartum patients and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Administer anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and insulin drips
• Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and use IUPC placement and calibration
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Maintain valid state licensure and comply with 50-mile radius requirements
• Complete orientation program of 36-40 hours
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
