Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Surgical Tech - Certified Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Muskegon, MI. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide certified surgical technology services in operating room settings
• Maintain current CST (Certified Surgical Tech) certification
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Work scheduled shifts from 6:45a-5:15p
• Participate in on-call duties for 2-4 hours per month after regular shifts
• Work 1 weekend shift per contract
• Complete required license and certificate verification
• Undergo fit testing as required
• Complete 9 panel drug screening
• Adhere to code of conduct and facility policies
• Complete I9 documentation and verification
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and property information
• Complete integrity and audit services documentation
• Pass specialty-specific competency testing
• Complete color vision testing
• Demonstrate proficiency through skills checklist completion
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, and Varicella
• Complete annual physical and health assessments
• Undergo criminal background check clearance
• Complete education verification requirements
• Pass Joint Commission testing requirements
• Complete system access and security training
• Maintain current Tdap vaccination
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
