Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Fresno, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist surgeons and operating room staff during surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment
• Set up operating rooms for surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile field throughout surgical operations
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
• Count surgical instruments, sponges, and needles before and after procedures
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Complete required Trinity compliance documentation and forms
• Maintain current vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
• Complete annual fit testing and health screenings
• Pass required Joint Commission testing and skills assessments
• Maintain professional standards and follow facility policies
• Work scheduled shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM
• Complete background checks and education verification requirements
• Participate in ongoing training and competency programs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
